New UK 7 Year Child Visa ILR Rules: Changes You Need to Know!
In 2024, the UK government has introduced new rules for the 7-year child residence settlement visa. This visa allows children who have lived in the UK for at least 7 years to apply for settlement status.

The new rules aim to make the process more streamlined and accessible for families who meet the eligibility criteria. This includes children who have been living in the UK continuously for 7 years and have not spent more than 90 days outside of the country in any given year.

The new rules for the 7-year child residence settlement visa require applicants to provide evidence of their continuous residence in the UK, such as school records, medical records, and utility bills.

This is to ensure that the child has indeed been living in the UK for the required period of time. Families applying for the visa will also need to demonstrate that the child has strong ties to the UK, such as attending school, participating in community activities, and having close family members living in the country.
Once the application is approved, the child will be granted settlement status, allowing them to live and work in the UK without any restrictions. This will provide peace of mind for families who have made the UK their home. If you believe your child meets the eligibility criteria for the 7-year child residence settlement visa, don’t hesitate to apply today and secure their future in the UK. Thank you for watching.
